This Monday, we took a scuba lesson at McKinney Scuba in a 18 foot deep pool. We learned lots of scuba fundamentals, including how to pick out the right gear, how to put on the scuba gear, and how to maintain your safety while underwater. We had lots of fun and hope to go back soon.
Read More...Over the next few weeks, we will be working on the Citizenship in the World merit badge. This badge is required to become an Eagle Scout, and is very helpful towards becoming knowledgable on how our world runs and how to be a good citizen in it.
Read More...This week we went over Tenderfoot Requirements 4a-4d, covering basic first-aid skills, such as how to treat cuts, blisters, burns, and choking, how to identify poisonous plants, how to prevent the reccurence of injuries on campouts and other outings, and what you should have in a first-aid kit.
Read More...This week, we learned about when to use a stretcher, how to use a stretcher, and how to make a stretcher. We made our own stretchers out of poles and a blanket, and tested them with a relay race.
Read More...For the upcoming few Troop Meetings, we will be working on the home repair merit badge. We will learn how to use a braker, caulk holes in wall and floor, fix a toilet, repair a broken doorframe, and how to stay safe while doing home repairs.
